Alicia Authement
MS CCC-SLP, Speech Language Pathologist
Alicia received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana State University in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2007 followed by her Master of Science degree from Southeastern Louisiana University in December 2009. Alicia worked as a Speech Language Pathologist for Central Community School System for several years where she acquired experience with various communication disorders across multiple age groups. During her time there, she provided therapy for 3 year olds in the homebound or daycare/preschool setting, as well as 4-6 year olds attending elementary school. Alicia also serviced both the middle school and two private elementary schools during her time with Central Community School System.
Alicia’s professional experience and interests include articulation disorders, oral motor disorders, expressive and receptive language disorders, fluency disorders, phonemic awareness/literacy as related to the curriculum, assistive technology to aid nonverbal students, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Alicia enjoys working alongside teachers and educational staff to provide the most effective, individualized therapy for each student to achieve his/her success.
In her personal life, Alicia is mother to three children, ages 7, 5, and 2. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exercising, being outside with her children, and reading. She also volunteers with her church’s women’s organization. She is excited to join the All For the Kids Therapy team in helping children and families through speech language therapy.
